SEF is partnering with the Southern California Chinese American Environmental Protection Association to offer a Green Infrastructure education and outreach program in our community!! 

Thanks to generous grant funding provided by the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) planning for an afterschool program to be held at Jefferson Middle School has already begun for the 2022/23 academic year. Students enrolled in this hands-on program will participate in a series of lectures provided by experts from different sectors, in relevant fields, who will also mentor the students on their hands-on design and build projects. Additional layers to the program include student developed community outreach materials and a student showcase….yes excitedly a student showcase!!  

We believe there are many benefits associated with participation in this free after school program such as technical and project-based learning related to environmental science and engineering; leadership and teamwork opportunities; project and time management and so much more!!
